Shortly after returning from his mission in the Violet Forest, Fitz makes his way to the Repair Bay to seek out Veth. He had been waiting for this day with great anticipation and wanted to get an early start, but the mission came first.

Fitz had become accustomed to squeezing through the main gate without disturbing any of the Head Mechanic's organized chaos. It did a particular kind of thing to him to see the shop in this state, but he understood the necessity. They were dealing with a large amount of supplies for the enclave and there were more pressing matters than tidying up.

Spotting Veth at one of the many small projects, he approaches and waits patiently to be acknowledged so as not to interrupt her work.

Veth lets off a swirl of swear words as her thumb gets pinched inside the guts of some old droid she was tearing into. Waving her hand around to soothe it she gives a nod first to Fitz rather than any real formal acknowledgement. Glancing from him over toward a stool that was randomly placed among the junk and a bit hard to see. While he would move for that, she would drag one out from under a nearby bench and thrust it over by him.

"What's up Fitz?" she says, putting the heel of her boot against the bottom rung of the stool rather than sitting down. "Gimme a reason for a break- I'm askin' for it eh?" she adds with a rough chuckle.

"Su cuy'gar" he responds while carefully extracting the stool. He cringed a bit beneath his helmet as he spoke the words, disliking the sound of Mando'a coming from his lips even more than the sound of Basic. Maybe he should have asked for the parts to fabricate a vocal emulator instead of an enhanced arm he mused to himself.

He sat on the stool and faces Veth, "I would like to... begin work on my new arm." He subconsciously flexes his left hand as he speaks. Then he shifts his eyeline from her face to the hand she was just waving around in pain, "I could make one for you too." He adds in a rather flat attempt at humor.

"Ha," she says, harshly and just as flat. Giving a look around her shop she does the little mental calculation before looking back to him. Asking the question she'd already answered for herself, "So, why that got you comin' to me?"

"Parts hard to come by... not standard." In the past, he had mentioned some of the particular components needed for the enhancement he had in mind. They were less common than a standard replacement limb. Optimized servos to improve reaction time of the prosthetic and advanced circuitry for heightened precision.

He was not one to ask for something for his own benefit, but it was in his nature to want to improve himself. The specific path he chose for this was cybernetics. "Need to be better... for the coming battles."

"I've been mostly tearing apart what scraps I can find- ain't got much, and anything of real value I'd been tossin' at Mandalore's little Besalisk project he got me workin' on," she says, glancing off to the very machine sat pathetically in the center of her mechanical storm.

"Afraid I can't help much there, friendo," she says, glancing to offer a sympathetic smile and a shrug of her shoulders.

"I see..." He had hoped there would be some components they could spare. If not, he could work with what he had. It wouldn't be ideal, but little ever was.

His concealed gaze shifted back to Veth. "Is there anything... I can do?"
