(D3, EM) Let's Get This Baby Working

While Forte does everything he can to make sure his armor is up to date, there is only so much one can do on his own. The mechanical skeleton of his armor needs to be calibrated to Forte's body movements, and that means that he needs another to do the adjustments. With that in mind, he invites Fitz to do so while taking inspiration from the still not functioning war droid in the center of the repair bay.

Fitz cautiously navigates the entrance to the Repair Bay while holding a canteen of caf. He gives a subdued nod of the head to Forte and heads over to Drabatan who seemed to be admiring the hunk of metal in the middle of the room. Until they could get it operational, it was little more than a sculpture. A sculpture with potential, but yet to prove it's pragmatic use.

Noticing his partner in maintenance, Forte looks away from the pragmatic art piece and greets him. "Good morning Fitz, I'll let you finish your caf if you need it."

Fitz holds up one finger while hooking the canteen to his collar and extending a straw from below the jawline of his helmet into the canteen. "No need." he responds, his speech only slightly more obscured than usual.

He silently sips his caf while walking up to the workbench where Forte's armor has been laid out. The synthetic muscle fibers and nano-hydraulics all seemed to be in peak operating condition, but he could see where the supportive framework, the skeleton of the armor as it were, was not optimized for his Drabatan friend's physiology. "Yes,... this can be... optimized." Fitz finally says as he turns towards Forte and begins taking measurements.

"So,... any leads on the Helm?... Or news on our... Imp pursuers?"

"I hear leadership is planning an infiltration on the base. We sneak in, grab the supplies we need, then get out." As the measurements are taken, Forte makes a copy of them for later. "That should slow them down a little."

"Sounds good... we need supplies."

Fitz abruptly steps away from the workbench for a moment to go collect some specialized tools he would need to properly adjust the framework. Returning with the tools, he sets to work, "What do you think,... about the Helm?"

[OOC] Just athletics mod? Is this first mod on the strength enhancing attachment?

(First mod, just athletics mod, but I have enough money if you feel like attempting the second athletics mod as well).

"The helm itself isn't that important in my mind, but whatever else they had might be enough to fix her (points at the center art piece) up. If those jokers from the Death Watch think having another piece of equipment will lend them legitimacy to their claim of the previous owner's title, they're dead wrong."

"Sometimes I don't know... if these relics have real power... or symbolic." Fitz cranks on a hydrospanner to tighten the last fitting and starts to help Forte into the armor.

"Ganks only rely... on tangible power... Now, I... understand the power of... tradition and the Way."

"There is tangible power in the way, through upholding the way, we create strong roots for our people. From those roots, we have a single language that is universally understood, much like with the implant you used to use. We have the best practices for arms and armor, we have family we can and do depend upon, and we have a good leader when the system works." He takes a moment to stare at the detached head piece, a connective joint being reoiled on the center piece. "When my father fought for the Kryze family in the civil war, he did so because he believed that ensuring the galaxy doesn't have a snake who could cut off a government's head was well worth it. However, there are always those looking at the past in rose colored glasses who want to keep us from moving forward. I left the New Mandalorians because I could not place my faith in Bo Katan, and I joined the Rebuilders because I put my faith into this group's leadership."

"Yes, history and knowledge... tangible assets,... but Ganks look forward... not back... Faith and purpose... force multipliers... Hard to quantify."
