Varina licked her fingers clean, all the while thinking, I wonder if that helm would fit my head. It would likely need some refitting. Oh what would the look on his face be? Or would he be wearing his own helmet... How annoying.

Garen just slowly nodded, his thoughts as unreadable as if he still wore his helmet.

[Claymore Wren]

Clay stopped what he was doing, when listened more nearly. Unless there is a need of a slicer or an 'archaeologist', he didn't think would be needing. But, a relic was something he was interested in.

[Rook Yorrick]

"The main objective is obvious, but is there anything else that might be recovered from the Serpent?" Rook asked.

[Fé Kelborn]

Whatever she was thinking of saying was derailed by Mandalore's announcement. It was a surprise for sure! The ancient helm of Mandalore?

"Sounds like a treasure hunt then?" Raven remarked to Fé, some excitement growing in her expression.

"Now that sounds fun," she replied, Raven's excitement reflected in her eyes. "A treasure hunt, a mystery to explore, and a chance to inspire our people."

[Haat Eldar]

The Eldar firebrand was there, this time on 'quiet and sulking' mode instead of 'swirling swearwords'. At least for now, anyway.

So they were going after an ancient helmet now. It did seem important, and Mandalore was right that it might ignite their spirit.

Igniting d'imperiolos attention, on the other hand, could very much be a problem, especially if that meant losing part of their Enclave before the strike they were expecting.

Quite a few others had their own questions to ask, so Haat kept 'quiet and sulking' for now, although they did keep their eyes on Izirka, both to hear their answers to other questions and to wait for an opening for their own. For now, however, they stepped closer to someone else.

Garen grunted, giving his fellow a nod. "Hello there. Ummm. Hmmm." For a few moments, he was silent, his expression as still as stone.

Finally, he shrugged. "I don't feel nothing. But I wasn't raised in all of this. So many others grew up hearing these names, but I read them in a datafile less than a decade ago. Or heard stories..." He smiled a little at that; some Mandalorians were good storytellers.

Then he shook his head, smiling ruefully. "Well, and when you get to my age, you slow down a bit. Including what's inside. Whatever part of me gets psyched has bad knees and a sore back, maybe."

[Lysa Ordo]

Lysa was there of course she came to all the gatherings. She listened to mandalore and then the weird lady who gave off weird vibes.

At the announcement she couldn't hold back an "Ooooooo old ship, old helmet."

The rest seemed like whatever. If they needed something blown up someone would tell her. And if they needed bodies to fight and keep watch she would volunteer.

"Yes," the latter point certainly lit a fire in her. Rook's question certainly caught her attention... there could be all sorts of things there.

"... Sounds like it can be quite the operation too, if there's more to find. Do you think we're gonna have to go swimming underwater, if it needs us all?"

[Griddak Madclaw]

Suis frowned

Are we grave-robbers now? Recycling is nice but if that's a mando ship must not they be treated with honor?

Griddak had just stepped into the room as Mandalore made his announcement. If it's surprised the old wookiee then the only indication was that he paused for a step. He then moved next to Suis'louche.

His low rumble seems to indicate he wants to know why the gungan is frowning at good news like that.

"You will need be fast," Irizka centers attention on themself with Mandalore's leave. "Our efforts have shown me where the ship lay in final rest. Deep beneath the lake nearby, and I may grant your people access. Our time will be sparse. The feat that must be accomplished will certain alert the Empire and they will come in force."

"A team will accompany me to the bridge deel within and retrieve this relic you seek. I care not for what the others do," they say, and pause.

"Wait, is that the place where we un-alived a bunch of stormies this morning? You know, underground section that was the site of an old battle?"

The younger (but not that young) Haat answers with a mischievous grin. "Oi, buir*, we've both been here a decade or so then, eh?" They gesture around. "That's more than many here, pops. Not that many born and raised" The grin widens. "But it's no' that that matters, eh? It's the manda!"

They snap their fingers, do something that looks like a little awkward dance of sorts.

"Guess I do get the bad back though", they finally add with a chuckle. "Bu' the helmet..." They stop for a while, as if thinking how to ask this.

"Ya gon help?"

[Mandalore]

"That is what the rest of us will be doing," Mandalore answers.

"While the team we send for the helm is busy, we will do all that we can to reclaim what our people have lost."

[Irizka]

"It is not," they say.

[Haat Eldar]

Haat waits until there's a chance to get a word in - there were lots of questions from lots of those present, and for good reason. But when they can, they take a step closer to Irizka.

Is there and hopefully has some time for a question.

"Vod, if I may? I understand this... 'excavation' thing is important. I do. But... ain't this bound to attract Imps' attention? Is losing a team, or a few, worth riskin' now? Or do we have a plan to avoid that?"

[Suis'louche]

Suis turned his head to give a nod to the wookie before turning back to the speakers. Sensing old white fur's intent he explained in a low voice

''Ja feel like somethin' is nat right...Our ancestors died there...I'm all for recycling but itsa tomb right? Itsa must be treated with deference''

[Griddak Madclaw]

Griddak says that he believes any Mandalore worth the title would not hesitate to support the Mando'ade, and the sanctity of the grave would mean less to them than the unity of their people. He doesn't suspect people will be intentionally disrespectful of their ancestors, but Griddak would be fine with the mando'ade walking over his tomb if it was for the good of the Mando'ade. Is it tasteful? No. But is it in the interests of their future? Definitely. Just have to make sure the people that go on the mission understand the gravity of the mission.

[Suis'louche]

Suis was not convinced by the argument. It was not that it did'nt made sense, it was because old habits were rearing there heads.

Griddak asks if Suis'louche thinks it's not going to be there or something else like that.

''Itsa tricky'' he replied but waved a finger a if indicating Griddak had struck a cord ''Itsa good for morale...bat that will sour if somathing happened to it or it gets stolen.''

He paused

''Itsa also a diversion of our efforts to fight the Empire''
