[Day 7, EE] Unresolved Tension

Timeslot: Early Evening

Having split off from Vron, Bura lands on a rooftop nearby the uncontested Imperial motor pool. Here she watches the field for a moment as to not go in halfcocked, and making sure her target was indeed here. Near the back of the structure the door opens with a squad of elite stormtroopers clearing out the space within the motor pool structure. Across the bay from them resting an APC ready to take the Colonel out of the base so that he might safely be extracted back to the Star Destroyer. Making quick work of the distance they rush him out across the open space between.

Not today, this bastard wasn't getting away this time. Pulling her helmet back taught she checks over her gear one last time before stepping up the ledge and dropping off the side of her perch. Falling ten feet before engaging her jetpack again, racing off into the motor pool. Mayhem ensues as she strikes down some of the less apt guards nearest the colonel but returning fire comes heavy and she's quickly pinned down between the Colonel and his exit. Heavy heat blasting down on top of her as the troopers primary goal shifts to removing the threat to the Colonel so that they might extract him.

Near the other side of the motor pool, this is the sight some of the other Rebuilders walk in on. Having been called toward this location by Vron, asking for anyone who might be available to assist. Locking the Colonel's group in an unintentional pincer between Bura and themselves there's a need for expediency to rush in and pinch this group before their might crushes Bura underfoot.

Clay was going to find a new scope for my X-30 pistol when he heard the commotion going on. He spotted two Rebuilders and ran to help out.

Stepping off to one side to try and get an angle on Bura who was hunkering down behind some much needed cover. In this holding position between the Death Troopers and the exfil for their VIP Bura was in the most dangerous spot she could be. Say what one will about the rank and file of the Empire. These troopers knew well how to get a job done, and they were going to do just that.

Moving off to flank the advance from her counterpart trooper the second to the first finds Bura distracted enough by the other hailfire coming in to catch her off the shoulder with an intensive volley. Striking through it cuts into Bura's flesh, searing it. Giving the troopers the satisfaction of knowing they hit by the sound of her scream. Only followed by the muffled swear of the second trooper when her blaster jams, this was never a problem before she would swear it.

Seething, Bura sucks in air between her teeth. Knocking her helmet back against the cover she was cowering behind to bring herself back into the game. One breath, calmer. Another, back in it. "Hey," she calls out over the shortwave to the other rebuilders. "This don't go my way tell Lysa I did somethin' real stupid, aight? Tell Vron.. tell 'im I tried. Alaris needed to know. I needed to know," she cuts, and with one last prepatory breath pushes herself into position and jetpacks up off her feet. Spinning around she stands atop her previous cover and unloads a hailfury of blasterbolts from her twin Westar's into the armor of the first Death Trooper she sees. Striking him well before return fire from the both pepper her armor and knock her from her position on the cover. Sent tumbling backwards she was behind cover again but prone on her ass.

"Di'kut*," she swears at herself privately.

Mayrelli breaks into a dead sprint straight towards the wounded Mandalorian, her shield zipping up to try and provide some cover as she worked to close the distance.

"Troopers, get me a forward line!" the sergeant calls forward one of their units while finding themselves a position of cover behind the rest. Holding up here they assured their autority over the situation.

Garen was far from silent as he charged forward, his armor rattling (albeit less than it seemed like it should), and his heavy footsteps pounding on the ground. Still, there was no battlecry on his lips. Perhaps he would speak when his hammer first struck a foe.

Two Mandalorians rushing their position was enough to make a trooper shake in their laminate. Enough so that they actually did, and when the order to move the line up had them rushing toward one another these troopers stopped just a little short to take aim and fire. All of their bolts landed against Garen's plate- but it just bounces right off. Impacts didn't seem to phase him much, they should have. Blaster bolts had such a concussive force how could he still be charging like a raging bull??

One of the four, unbeknownst to his compatriots for half a second, fell over a rock and quickly scrambles to his feet with dirt clinging to his white laminate.

Clay pulled his trustee shield and new X-30 long range pistol and opening fire at team 1 to try to give his friends some cover fire. The new was feeling like a good purchase now, with longer range. It hit harder as well. I didn't stop to see how much damage had been done, he was on the move to a better location.

"They're monsters!" one of the men in the back line shouts. Terror coating his vocal chords he almost could barely be heard through the helmet, but his fellows heard him well enough for the seed to be set. That was where the first of the elite troopers minds went when they heard the grunt shout. How could the Rebels manage to continue operations? Because of weak willed soldiers like that one not giving their all for the Empire, that's how.

Despite this shock to morale, bolts did connect with Mayrelli as they try desperately to put one of the Mandalorians down.

They were Imperial Stormtroopers damnit! The Mandalorian backline wasn't out of reach but the main concern were the warriors charging their positions. While the front line scrambled and screamed, trying their best to avoid imminent death by rampaging Mando, the backline would hold the line and stop the advance of the forward shield wielding Mandalorian. For the Empire!!

"Sergeant," Alaris calls out from behind the crate his personal guard left him behind. Yelling because he had no communicator on him, just a man stuck in the middle of the scrape with but a puny blaster in hand. "Kill the one with the hammer! That monster will stop at nothing to kill me!"

Scrambling, he peaks around the corner to see Bura in danger. A dark smile does creep across his expression, maybe today wouldn't be quite as bad as it started out. Soon in two deft strokes the two greater enemies he's made in his years, the failures of having killed them off the first time, could be wiped from existence. Maybe he might even get to capture Bura.. reminisce in their old manner...

Stepping forward the impending doom of an Imperial Deathtrooper bears down on Bura's location. Blaster fire rocks the cover she once held and streams toward her with deadly fury. Forcing the Mandalorian to roll out of the way from the more severe arc of bolts. Behind them the Mandalorians friends rush to her aid, but if this hardened trooper had anything to say about it they wouldn't arrive in time.

"teG uoYr siht ni deror, nanaH," the garbled speech of their disguised comms at least show these two are more actively in communication than the rank and file.

Dropping to her knee the second trooper quickly assess' the jammed weapon, fixes it, and opens fire on the newly exposed Bura. Forced to roll into an open position, Bura is met with a devastating volley from the second trooper. Hands flying up to cover her most vital locations and abandoning her blasters at her side. Beskar was tough, and the vast majority of bolts deflected off of her armor with negligible damage to the woman within but not all were deflected and she took some serious damage. Found with enough bolts being blasted into her armor that it started to heat and burn her flesh underneath a bit simply from the force of it all.
