[D1 MM] When the Scouts are Away the Hunter Plays

Normally Cha would have a grand old time leading enemy scouts on a wild chase, but in this case there had been so many volunteers to take the task that he let them take their shot. After all, if his shield brothers were going to be purposely drawing reinforcements away from the base to set false trails, then the moment was ripe to grab some intel on how the enemy handled the situation.

He pings the settings on his armor, fading into the background at the strategic observation point. It was time to see how the enemy reacted when pricked.

This location was abuzz with activity, and from a distance there were noticeably two different types of activities happening. One half appeared to be a response effort mobilizing for the engagements of which Cha was aware of while the other was a concentration on the continued building effort. While the Empire wasn't certain that this was the best location for their base across the whole of the planet they were not one's shy when it came to spending resources and effort of their underlings.

Small as it was for now, it was still a nest of Imperial activity.

[Being this close to the base requires a Steath check vs Hard, two setbacks. There may be subsequent, and more difficulty, checks if Cha approaches any closer.]

The armor isn't magic, and as sure of himself Cha can forget things. Such as bits on abysmal luck. And two, that he can still make sound when stepping in something.

They'd spotted him, and a few troopers were already on the radio mobilizing a response. A couple of the guardsman already on approach, a few others racing to scout speeders in order to mount and chase him down. Mobilization was swift, but Cha had spotted their noticing them early enough to manage to slip away if he ran immediately.

Cha slinks back away, making sure to lay a false trail to limit exposure to the Enclacve.
