Mayrelli slinks sneakily towards the sort of secret sort of private camp of the sort of Jedi Ilena, sort of. Given the various dangers present she figured you couldn't check in too often. Or, you could but you'd have to work at it. Today she's got a selection of her favourite holos (top blaster and top blaster free spirit) to give their guest something to watch. That and she was hoping to ask her some questions as well....

As was a common sight, when Mayrelli approaches she finds Ilena in the midst of a meditation. However, upon hearing the footfalls approaching from some distance the young would-be Jedi stirs from her calm to greet the woman. Rising from her seat she bows, as was common from the Jedi.

"Mayrelli, good afternoon."

"Heya Ilena! Hope the meditation is going well and you're uhh, getting some good thinking in." The pilot was clearly not someone who meditated.

"I bought you some holos if you want to do something more in-, I mean, something different. They're pretty great actually, all about this Republic starfighter who fights the seperatists and there's this shirtless huttball scene, preeeeetty great."
She finds a little spot to put them down, carefully filing them away.

"You alright? Got enough to eat?"

"The actual war wasn't quite like that-" she stops herself, holding to the note in such a way that the ambience cuts in. Shaking her head she continues, "T-thank you. I do not expect to make much use of them, but it's appreciated," she offers the smile, but doesn't quite seem to feel it.

"As for food," she smiles, she feels it, "I am quite capable of feeding myself. I have lived here for years alone after all."

"Well that's good! But a balanced diet is important so don't skip on your meat and your greens. But if you got enough of those you should be A-okay."
Satisfied the holos were correctly filed May heads down to the small pond to try and some skipping, aiming for a full pond clear.

"Hey, so. I kinda wanted to check one other thing. Is there an easy way to check if someone is like a bad Jedi or something? And if they are, what are they normally after? If you guys are anti-wealth and power they're probably seeking that kind of stuff, right?"

"That is a curious question.." she says. Hand rising to her chin in thought she takes her time. Looking about the space they occupy as she elucidates, "By your suggestion- one who was opposite from a Jedi might be one who sought conflict, war, the end of peace as Jedi have been the protectors of galactic peace for millennia. Though there might be more ways to find a Jedi's opposite.. suppose one might be that the being would be selfish and act only for personal gains."

That last suggestion lingers with her, and she hardens. Looking down she turns to look out over the forest around them away from Mayrelli.

"How to tell.. would be much harder, perhaps.."

"Dang, figured there might be a test or something." She looks pensive for a moment, still skipping stones.

"I think there might be one skulking around our Clan, all selfish and personal gainy. But, they could just be eccentric. I wouldn't want to shoot someone just because they're really into cosplay...well, maybe certain cosplay. But anyway, they go by Irizka, wear a hood, vague aura of menace. "
Her poses ends up emulating the Jedi's.

"Do you reckon you could tell just by looking? Is that something Jedi can do?"

"We- well, no it doesn't quite like that Mayrelli," she says, stifling a rare laugh that leaves a lingering smile.

"Perhaps it is best to just be careful around them? They are.. well, if they are what you believe them to be they would be quite dangerous."

"Right, just sort of keep my eyes open? I can do that. If they're looking to surprise everyone they won't be expecting to be surprised themselves!"
Pause

"Wait, can't Jedi read minds and stuff? What if she sees what I'm thinking? Man, I've thought about this a lot, I could be in big trouble. Is there some way you can protect yourself against it maybe? Like I just think of something else?"

"My Master has suggested that those with a strong will can withstand manipulation by the force," she says, cracking into a slight chuckle that she cuts short. Losing her focus on this moment for something deeper.

"But.. I do not think you have to worry that this person is reading your thoughts. There are many mysteries in the force, but I have not heard of any such thing as a mind reader."

"Well that's a relief, would have hate for you to have heard my thought about your hair...if I had thought such a thing, which, who knows?
She rubs her own head for a moment.

"Okay, that makes things more simple then. No need to worry about head trauma." With a last determined skip that sends a stone hurtling off into the foliage she straightens and stretches her back.

"Well, I should probably let you get back to meditating and everything. But you were super helpful! So..." She shoots the Jedi a big thumbs up.
"Thank you! I'll probably be back soon at some point, but you call anytime, you hear?"

Another arrives, a being whom is rarely seen but Mayrelli would know well. Of the Rebuilders there is only one other than Mandalore who is treated universally with deference, and this was he. The Armorer of the Rebuilders strides into the circle with a large sack. Though he sees Mayrelli, he does not comment nor change course for the unexpected other visitor.



Ilena, however, appears caught between two stones as she fumbles slightly between greeting and farewell.

"I- I will Mayrelli, thank you," she hesitates, holds a fist to her check. "Take care of yourself."

"Will do! Oh, hey Armourer, sir."
Mayrelli dips her head respectfully

"I didn't know you were coming out here...can I help or should I be going...?"
Given the Armourer had headed straight for Ilena she suspect it would be the latter."

"I have no need for you," he says simply, not in a way that feels dismissive but simply direct. Busying himself with unloading some things from his pack. Tools, at first, but then there is something that can only be a memento of some kind.



"He has come by a few times now. We speak of.. well, past lives. Commonalities."

Mayrelli blinked, it was like someone having tea with a mountain or the wind in winter. The Armourer just...chatted? He could do that?

"Huh. Well, I'll have to up my conversation game next time. Bet we got some commonalities. Yeah, probably a bunch. But for now I'll you two to it. You two have fun!"

With a wave and a smile she leaves the two to their conversation, deciding that she'd probably have to ask the Jedi what the Armourer was actually like next time she stopped by. You couldn't just chat to the guy after all!
