Griddak is out after his time in the library, looking to make himself useful. A good sized kill would be a boon for a feast, but anything would be nice. After all, hunting in the library had gone poorly and he wanted a victory.

"What's the season, old man?" Cassie joined the greyback Mandalorian, her rifle in her hands. "Reminds me of my youth, in a way. Hopefully we can eat something other than rations today."

Griddak explains that a couple neri would be best, but an ottobas would be a lot of food. He moves through the trees surprisingly quietly for such a big creature, though not particularly stealthily. Just quiet enough not to spook most animals immediately.

He agrees with wanting something other than rations, needing more fresh meat in his diet. With a low rumbling growl, to avoid announcing their position, he asks what her best hunt/kill was.

Cassie listened and followed. "Take the lead, old man. I'm a decent shot, but it's been a long while since I hunted all proper, and even then, it was mostly kath hounds. Dantooine was ridiculously rural, in its own, charming way."

She smirked in thought. "I couldn't get away when I was old enough. Feels like an age as passed, since then."

Griddak nods in approval and takes the lead, looking for signs of passing fauna. Eventually he catches sight of a game trail that is used by multiple different species. It's tough to tell what they'll find when they catch up to something, but with how active this specific trail is they're certain to find something soon.

The wookiee voices his approval of a kath hound hunt, having a clear respect for their cunning and instinctual tactics. He asks if she was there on a job or if Clan Fett kept an enclave there. He claims not to be too familiar with Dantooine and hasn't visited in almost a century.

"Not much of an enclave...just a clone deserter and a lone Fett woman finding family in odd places." She smiled fondly. "And a little annoying firecracker who couldn't sit her arse down when asked." She followed in his steps, her eyes glancing around. "Where are you from, originally?"

He explains he was born and raised Mandalorian, on Mandalore, and is third generation. Which he explains means don't expect a life debt if you save him, but he'll fight to the death for any of the Mando'ade anyway. He recounts how his grandmother was exiled from Kashyyk for being a madclaw which is where they get the pseudo clan name and how their family cane to live on Mandalore almost a millennia ago.

"Huh, straight from the homeworld then, eh?" She smiled. "What was it like? I never visited. Was always busy with something else...Maybe later, I can take a glance."

She checked her rifle's mechanism, to make sure it was good.

He says that it is mostly a dangerous desert planet with very little life left on it after so much warfare in the past. There are a few species other than the Mando'ade that call it home. He says that as he understands it the planet's surface is mostly dead because of the Jedi and their historical fear of Mandalorian power, which led to a massive bombardment a very long time ago. He makes an offhand comment that the hypocritical Jedi got what was coming to them in the end anyway, clearly among the Mandalorians that disliked the order.
