Griddak takes a look at the ruins and tries to see if he can identify anything remarkable about the architecture or style to maybe tie it to a culture.

At the prompting he responds that the people of New Hope probably picked most of the surface clean.

Ever prepared, Fitz had checked over his Cybernetic Respirator last night after Suis'louche proposed an expedition out to the sunken ruins. He was ready to go underwater if needed.

Venturing down one of the tunnels that appeared to them and wasn't completely covered in rubble they'd proceed and quickly find themselves in nearly pitch darkness. Without a lightsource.. things could get really complicated.

Suis crouched and reached into his survival kit to retrieve a glow rod and lit it up, aware that Griddy likely had no way to see.

Fitz will follow suit and pull out his own glow rod to illuminate the rear of their little troupe.

He will do his best to shield the light and direct most of it behind so as not to alert anyone or anything in front, as well as to keep as eye out for unwanted surprises from the rear.

Cha nods, cracking open his glow rod to allow a wan light to filter through. Sure, it shone, but it was better than tripping over his own feet, and he trusted the radiation shielding to make him appear as a will-o-the-whisp.

The wookiee accepts the glowrod and attaches it to a loop at his waist. He also had zero concern for the fact that he would be the primary target if spotted, but he at least follows Cha's instructions to delay that eventuality.

All around they hear the skittering of different creatures, across the waterlogged metallic surfaces of the ruin that eventually very much would become a hall. As they passed by surviving doorways only partially broken open they could hear movement within the occassional chamber but nothing which stirred so much as to pay them any mind. In some sense, it was alike being on a spacestation that had simply fallen into the water- and become overrun with all sorts of amphibious creatures.

An intersection would soon be arrived at, and with it- something ancient that was perhaps a map of the structure if one looked at it long enough. However, with the state of the previous hallway it was tough to determine which one they were currently within. Any hope of making use of the map would require a skilled mind.

Griddak looks over the symbols and mentions that usually signs at intersections point out directions. He seems to have difficulty working out what it says but does what he can to puzzle it out.

Stopping a moment to investigate the strange patterns on the wall, Fitz and Griddak look it over, discussing the possible implications. Was it a map, a message to visitors, or just a bit of ancient graffiti? Even after engaging his cybernetic brain implant to run through calculations and probabilities, he couldn't be certain of the meaning.

Unfortunately, Fitz couldn't make heads or tails of this time worn map of the facility. Likely, it might have just been a bunch of lines etched into the wall by some of the wildlife in the area. Still.. assuming it was anything of a map would at least give them a direction and while they weren't sure exactly which way they should go for their best shot at what they needed, they knew going straight ahead would likely not bring them there.

Which given this current intersection meant they should travel to the east or west, but that was on the group to decide. Best guess or coin toss.

Following to the right they find themselves having to wind rights, and lefts, base more on where the rubble would allow them to gain access. Metal creaking under the weight of what must be a good deal of water above them based on how far they'd traveled so far- they might have thought they could be underground but dirt wouldn't weight on the structure quite like that.

Hallways were cluttered with the remnants of ancient armor that had long since lost it's ability to be used. A battle has happened here, one time long long ago. Who were the combatants? What was the goal? Things that only the spirits and bones would know.

Eventually, they would find themselves very deep having traveled down at least two flights of stairs and a general sense of an incline- but it was hard to trust where they felt they were. At the end of this long path there was a tunnel they could see was primarily open- but was absolutely filled with water. Risk of outside exposure and wildlife inside there was the sense that they perhaps should return more prepared- or perhaps not at all.

Why would they not return, you ask? Well, by the best guess of the collective minds of the group they were likely not heading toward any mechanical bay that might offer them the prize they most sought. However, whatever was past this point was perhaps most likely left untouched as few adventurers would care to take the risk of a dive such as this. A truth that their amphibian friend in Suis'louche would be able to confirm with a few minutes and the ease of his acquatic nature.

[Feel free to return at a later date, Day 4 or 3. Just know there is a likelihood for combat moving forward and thus more up to date the better.]
