Day 2 EM: Callin' Dibs

The mandalorian gungan was lying in wait, covered by the surrounding bushes to his left and partially hidden by a large stone to his right. The other two were not there yet so he thought he might surveil the ruins with his electrobinoculars with the time he had.

For Suis'louche, noticing the sound of an approaching wookiee was a simple matter. Griddak arrives nearby but doesn't immediately notice the scouting Gungan, walking past his bushes.

Fitz arrived in the designated area, offering a nod to Griddak. He was surprised not to see Suis'louche there yet, perhaps the Gungan was scouting under the water?

Fitz got a wave but Griddak kept his voice silent while keeping an eye out for their gungan companion.

''Can you move a bit to de side, Griddy?'' the gungan's voice said from behind him, still hidden ''You are blocking my view''

Griddak grumbles something about having improved his view with a bright, fluffy, silvery moon, taking his helmet off to reveal unusually fluffy fur that's standing nearly on end. He then brushes his hand through the long, heavy volume fluff like a model at a photoshoot before offering a somewhat offensive hand gesture in a playful manner.

He pulls some hair out of visor of the helmet that apparently got stuck and pulled out before placing it back on his head.

This was why you didn't play poker with a Mandalorian. None of his reaction to Suis'loche's sudden appearance. He did, however, tilt his head quizzically at Griddak's own surprise. The Wookie was often well groomed, but this seemed borderline vainglorious. Fitz supposed that no one was immune to feeling their own mortality. Was around 350 years old mid-life for a Wookie?

"Looking good." He offers to Griddak, removing the helmet of his own armor along with Griddak to reveal... another mask, but a familiar one.

Suis's wide poodoo-eating grin was sadly hidden by his helmet.

"Nice touch Griddy, you look pasitively radiant." His tone was very mirthful

"Ja think Cha will come along as well, so we'll wait a bit longer...but let's be less obvious, yeah?"

"I'm not obvious at all." Cha finally pipes up, doing his best to keep up a mysterious act. "So, we are doing some exploring?"

Griddak nods and moves to a position with more cover. He explains that it's very important to him that he look fabulous for this recon mission. It would be unfortunate if he weren't dressed to impress, he claims in a very serious tone.

Cha is greeted with a nod.

Suis crouches back

''So we all here'' He raises his binoculars towards the structure once more the passes it around to the others to check

''De ruins are old but are sometimes the hunting ground of dangerous predators. Mandalore is searching far something...it might be here...it might not. It worth checking anyway...we might find clues or artefacts to, hum, liberate for the Mando'ade''

Griddak nods in agreement but keeps quiet for now. He was on a similar mental wavelength. They were looking for old stuff so they should be looking in old places. It's clear that he is waiting for someone else to take the lead, intending to follow and support.

Seeing Cha now appear out of seemingly nowhere, Fitz considers the armor modifications he had been shown back in the Armory. While Fitz has participated in many ambushes throughout his past, he did not have any particular talents in remaining unseen. Perhaps it was something to consider for the future, as being undetected was certainly desirable.

He grunts in agreement, "Veth thinks, maybe... parts for basalisk?... Something of value."

Suis eyes goes big ''Ooooh...that would be great!"

He looks around and nods

''Okay, okay! I propose Cha and Ja takes point to spot for enemies and other dangers. Griddy and Fitz will be the rear.'' he turns to the old veteran ''Sounds good?''

Griddak nods in agreement, giving an excited grin of approval. He takes up a rear guard position and seems ready to move.

Suis adjusts his scanning goggles and puts his helm back on before drawing his guns.

''Ready?'' he asks the other two

Nodding in consent to the plan, Fitz steps in line back with Griddak.

Before them were the mostly sunken ruins of some kind of ancient structure. What's for certain is that there are likely picked over safer areas that can be accessed as whatever this place was it was massive, perhaps an entire compound. Knowing the enclave is nearby it's perhaps no surprise that there is a sense that these two structures were perhaps once part of a single entity. However, that knowledge was lost to time. Venturing forward was mostly a matter of where to begin, to delve into the tunnels that led below and into treacherous territory or to scavenge around on the surface level.

Perhaps, of course, an enterprising group could consider another option- but that would certainly be up to the minds of the individuals involved.

The gungan kept his senses sharp as they ventured into the ruins to keep watch for dangers, secret passages or caches.

''What do you make of de ruins Griddy? Need a moment before we go further down?''
