[D1 LM, Mandalore's Quarters] Hey Man(dalore)
Griddak's knock is unmistakable, as it's always the same rhythm of four heavy taps, the sound muted slightly by thick fur. It was something of a quirk, but it did allow him to announce himself without needing to roar, at least for those familiar with him.

Mandalore had been waiting, and so Griddak did not wait long for his answer. Opening the door he invites his old friend within without much needed in the way of words. Within is the most spacious of all the chambers, enough room for a personal armory to rest within. Even more, a table was able to be set up currently at it's center. There sat a tea kettle of a strong Mandalorian brew that Praytons grandfather always used to make, with two cups set out for them.
"Thank you I for coming, old friend," he says with the strength that Griddak would expect. Mandalore did not wear his helmet in this interaction, as he was one of few who was granted the opportunity to see Mandalore's face.

Griddak's helmet was removed immediately after entering. He tended to not wear it when interacting with his fellow Mandalorians, he still wore it everywhere else around the enclave when he wasn't conversing.
He extended a friendly roar of greeting and appreciation for requesting his presence, quite looking forward to understanding how he can better serve the Rebuilder's vision. It was all as formal sounding as can be, but with Griddak's family's unique Mandalorian dialect of Shyriiwook.
While his words were formal his posture and body language were more relaxed. He wasn't so relaxed that he was open, but he was probably more comfortable with the Mandalore than most others. Not that he showed that in public. It was far more important to set a proper example in the eyes of his fellow Mandalorians. But here? He remembers when Prayton was just a curious little boy that wanted to hear every story the wookiee knew.

"Thank you for coming, old friend," Mandalore says. Properly settling into his seat he serves both himself and Griddak the tea. Looking around his varied collections of trophies from battles won over the years, most of these being old books and other such relics of the Mandalorian histories.
"I wished to ask you to grant me the aid of your most powerful asset, your wisdom," he explains.

The wookiee nods while assuring Prayton that it is his honor to help however he can. He also thanks him for the tea and takes a sip, remembering the flavor that was a favorite of the Mandalore's grandfather. The wookiee images that the strongest flavor in it for both of them is nostalgia.

"Old friend," he says, after spending a few minutes simply enjoying the tea with Griddak. Reveling in those memories, the one's of his father- all and none of what he gave him. Still, his mind was needed in the present though he was oft believed to be too concerned with the past. "I have Orar on my side, who would never disagree with my desire to unearth the past of our people and return to our roots but- I do worry sometimes he wishes I go too far," he sighs, a deep regret for his situation, "and then I have my brother Praxton. A man I know who would never betray me eating at my conscience because I can tell he see's my decisions as reckless. Two warriors who hold me in highest regard, and who believe such strikingly different things."
"I ask you simply, old friend. Do you think seeking the Helm of Mandalore, lost to time, is a worthy endeavor despite the risk?"

Griddak listens, then thinks about it all, including the positions of Orar and Praxton. A few long moments pass before he responds to Prayton, letting him know that Mandalorians are a future seeking people, but that they do not forget those that came before. In a way that other Mandalorians might have trouble understanding, the Rebuilder is now tied inextricably to the Mandalores of the past by tradition and history. They are a part of the manda and will be watching over the Rebuilder more than any other Mando'ade, living or dead. He continues by saying that for Prayton the Mandalore, finding the helmet would be a symbolic victory that could raise the morale of our people and shake the faith of those being puppeted by the empire. Griddak assures his Mandalore, with confidence and zeal, that he believes the reward massively outweighs the risk of being slightly embarrassed if the mask goes unfound.

Prayton listens intently throughout, understanding the language of the Wookie's well allowing them to converse easily. With a solemn nod to finish their little talk as it were he offers Griddak the rarest of smiles, "Thank you, old friend. I can count on your wisdom always."
With a hand extended back toward their cups, "Shall we simply continue to enjoy the tea?"

Griddak assures his Mandalore that as long as the wookiee draws breath he will gladly share his wisdom on anything. Especially his wisdom on getting more of that Rodian made jerky. They just have better seasonings than other worlds...
