Day 0 - Pilot Program (Expecting)

"Kagr, Kagrino, Kagrise, Kagr...Kaganski. Please tell me our ships are still in working order? Since if they're not we're going to die?"
Mayrelli had made her way to the hanger and was busy quadruple checking their ship-baby to ensure the Rebuilders could make a speedy exit once they'd bloodied the Imperial nose (or died horribly, either or).

And if there was anyone she trusted to know tell her their ship was ready to run a possible imperial blockade, it was the Rebuilder's other pilot. Who was definitely second best if you counted some race results in a certain way.

Considering the nature of the business, there would inevitably be some ships that have damage that need to be repaired. Of course when multiple ships came in over the course of a week, even the most skilled mechanic needs a little help and Forte is willing to be today's pack mule.

Never one to be seen much outside of his armor, the man marked with black armor looks up from his work. Hydro-spanner in hand with a host of other tools spread around him, Chuckling he sets the hydrospanner down, both hands extending to show off the ship standing over and behind him, "Take a look for yourself! Kept your girl in good condition while you've been gone," he says, rather pleased with himself.

"Kagr, I could kiss you. Or at least sort of butt helmets a little. But that just gets real weird real fast. Still, drinks on me next time, eh?"
She grins at the Chiss before turning to Forte.
"Okay, let's take a look at our girl. Remember to only say nice things."

With a little spring in our step she goes to closely inspect said ship with a happy hum.

"I'll just take the thank you," he says, half-chuckling as his mind is already shifting toward cleaning up his space a little. Looking over to Forte the visor doesn't quite reveal much but there's the familial acceptance and note on his presence that is kind enough. Catching up alongside Mayrelli, Kagr falls into step, "Can't have you checking her out without my grand 'ol tour," he offers.

"Seen a lot of action the past bit, getting everyone back home but she's still good to run us out of here if we need. Probably needs a bit of tinkering to get her a little more juice to avoid too much to worry but at least we have the firepower if they intercept us with fighters. Still.." he says, taking a moment to stop by the ships hull and laying a hand on it. "Doubt she won't get a few bruises even in the best case."

"Bruises and scars build character. That's what I always told my marks anyway, it seemed right at the time."
May runs a gloved hand over the exterior, critically checking for dust, although Kagr always did good work.

"Well this is the last line of defence, so glad to hear she's still in good nick."
She starts circling the ship, critically looking over weapons and patched battle damage as she chews her lip softly.
"How many can we carry in this thing these days if we really have to push it?"

"We'll fit everyone- but it isn't going to be comfortable. Life support won't suffer that many but with a little suffering on our part we'll be able to make it to another planet where we can more properly scatter like beetles," he says, walking alongside May as she inspects the ship. Proud of his work more so because in his heart, and certainly May's, this ship may belong to the Rebuilders but it was hers first and foremost.

Kagr has that sense about him like a proud caretaker watching a parent see how well their kid was behaving.

Mayrelli nods happily, not taking her eyes off the ship as she strolls up the loading ramp and into hold.
"What about if we have to make multiple trips, you think we got enough armour on hand to handle that? Not that we're gonna get hit if I'm flying, but you know, just in case."
Sheisn't shy with the praise if she spots a neat repair or addition from Kagr, every tinkerer likes to see other tinkering.

((OOC do we know what sort of ship it is? Just for my edification.))

"Not-" his voice cuts as he rethinks, commits. "Not something that will be a problem we have to worry about. Assuming the Empire doesn't eventually find out little home here is a kriffing long shot, and if we leave for one trip we won't be back in time for whoever is left behind," he says, regretfully.

[Think Medium Cruiser that has gotten l of the Mando love it can be given.]
