[Day 2 - Mid Afternoon] New Hope, Same Battle

[Claymore Wren]

"You will always have my support, Sol..." He said happily. "Mandalore, Praxton and like prefer me be sent on important missions, instead of going out halfcocked looking for an adventure... Like I would have done do otherwise in formative days." He laugh.

Acting coy and quietly said, "Are insinuating that Veth and I are hooking up power couplings???" Then Clay relaxed. "She's good, be very busy with the basilisk, when I'm jetting off to parts unknown. I may like to act she treats me like her indentured servant, but it's just friendly ribbing is all."

[Soleene Stryss]

"We don't really have time to look for adventures at the moment, although I'm sure this one will have plenty of it when we get around to it. After what happened in the morning, I'm sure we'll need to take the fight to the Imperials rather than wait for them to get smarter with their tactics. I've never been good at waiting, anyway," she shifted her shoulder in a shrug.

"What?!" she asked on an incredulous note. "Oh hell, no. Sorry, bad choice of words. I mean more on her drinking habit than anything I guess I've been imagining too many things while being on edge. I just hope it's more casual than... dependent, so to speak. But eh, it shouldn't be my place to judge habits. I'm sure a few of us could be liable for getting in trouble just because of a small goof."

[Claymore Wren]

"Well, you know I'm in. If are is anything in particular you think would be good for the mission, just let me know." He said out of formality.

Clay gesturing his hands to slow down a few seconds, "Oh yeah, I'm going to stick to plausible deniability on that front. But, that's a work hard, drink hard type thing... Then wake up and do it all over again. That's been the way of things for the last 6 months or so. I've had plenty of nights puts up a hammock in a repair bay to get a few hours sleep and then get back to work. But, that's nothing new to me."

[Soleene Stryss]

"I'm not going to fault someone wanting to drink and relax from time to time. I know we sure do our share of things when the helmets are off but just wondering about people's well-being. But yeah, probably not my place to wonder about people. Do we have a Mandalorian who's all chipper and smiles around here who can fill in for morale watch?"

Soleene thought twice and groaned. "Ugh, sorry. I sound like such a narc or something. Nevermind. Just as long as there are no issues, there are no issues."

[Claymore Wren]

"Hum, I think Lysa is the most chipper person I can come up with, but she's also... ah... touched in the head" He made a gestures of being crazy.

"Are you doing alright, Soleene? You seem dour today... That's normally Raven's job." Hopefully to lightly her mood at least a little bit.

[Soleene Stryss]

"Lysa, eh? I guess she might do. I'm not exactly asking her to make decisions or anything. Maybe Mandalore should promote her to morale officer already around here," she snickered.

"What? Really, Clay?!" She blurted out in surprise at first. "That's like the second time I've heard this from someone around here? Am I not just, well, me? Sorry if I seem like a downer, maybe it's the lack of action going on at the moment. I'm probably getting all contemplative to keep myself busy and kill time."

[Claymore Wren]

"I think her armor is the only armor that is louder than mine..." He laughed.

He put a hand on her shoulder plate. "Hey, you are probably my favorite person in the Enclave to get a beer with. I just get to know you're okay, is all. Enjoy the peace now, because haran is coming soon. And, it's not that peaceful really, just the calm before the storm."

[Soleene Stryss]

Soleene gave a glance at the hand on her shoulder before nodding. "Thanks...and I am okay, I guess maybe the tension is getting the better of me. I wouldn't worry too much about it. If it was between peace and fighting, I would rather have peace, to be honest. But when there's a storm coming, I'd rather get it over with than deal with the looming dark clouds overhead, you know? Even in a place like this, I find myself looking over my shoulder a few times."

[Claymore Wren]

Clay folded his arms. "Yeah, I know you are more a person of action. While I do plenty stupid stuff without thinking, I am a thinker. There is nothing enough preparation time to think through all the variables for my preference. But, then nothing would happen. No base that I broke into. It will happen in its own time. While I don't think it's the same thing as you are meaning at, I do look over my shoulder plenty. But, that's a hazard of the life of black-ops slicer. That's why I like getting on my speeder and forgetting everything else for awhile. Just me and the road..." Said in calm voice.

[Soleene Stryss]

"It's kind of why I like doing more than thinking, to be honest. All of those thinking, as you said, could really be up for nothing. I don't even know if this even qualifies as planning in the slightest," she said before giving a dismissive shake of her head. "Well, I know that life on the move isn't exactly all that carefree either. You can put it all behind you only so far until you need the credits to put food in your belly and get you to the next place you need to go. Not that it's exactly an option for the Enclave, at least not until we're done with what we're looking for. "

[Claymore Wren]

"I never really was in need of food much in my journeys, but there were a few lean times. I would say my life was never carefree, just very focused on what I considered important to me. I'm just not concerned with what everyone else thinks I should be doing." Thinking of his past times in Black Watch and Hutt Space. "Hum, it sounds like you would like a permanent place to live for a long time, is what I'm hearing then. Like, a ferrocrete building for a home. That is something I've never cared much about, myself. But, to each their own." He said thoughtfully.

[Soleene Stryss]

Soleene shook her head at that. "Heh, don't assume that's completely the case. I've spent long enough going from place to place that the nomadic lifestyle hasn't bothered me in the slightest. That said, the idea of having a permanent place...well, that's a solid promise that does entice me if I can be honest about it. I sure hope that it happens, especially with what I've been hearing from Mandalore. I don't think I'll be staying put if and when that happens either. I've done enough guard duty back at the base to see myself in that niche."

[Claymore Wren]

"Oh, I couldn't presume, just sounds like what you would like in the future. I would like to have my own ship, maybe something like a fast Carillion freighter. Something that I can get all my gear and Oksana on it, and fly around galaxy. Maybe have a home base to spend much the year there, and jet off to planets with races I want to see at least once in my life." With a little chuckle.

[Soleene Stryss]

She nodded. "That's always a good aspiration to have. You and another Mandalorian, too. Mayrelli, if you've ever met her. I kind of promised her that I would keep an eye out for her, if I happen to find out. That said, I know that it's pretty hard to find one just laying around here without a crew to call it their home. They're also a hell of a lot harder to steal too. Something tells me that you're not exactly an Imperial-brand sort of person. It also asks a lot of questions if they ever make out your profile alone."

[Claymore Wren]

"No, I don't I would fit in well as an Imp, they all have sticks up their arses... But, they do pay mercenaries quite well. I've done a few works for them while I was back in Clan Wren. I may have broking into an Imp ship and moved to a different landing pad near by on Mandalore. Just to show I was that good... I'm not looking for a pilot just yet. I need to start saving my credits to buy a ship first." He nodding toward her.

[Soleene Stryss]

She tilted her head up in a slightly smug expression. "Hey, then, maybe you can consider it a joint effort or something. I'm not so sure how property management works, less so when it comes to ships. I just know there's such a thing as a pilot and co-pilot, so you two could potentially figure something out. I'm sure we could use all of the ships and pilots we could get our hands on. It would make it much easier to operate. Before I got here, I had to hitch a ride with a pirate...which is more or less how I got introduced to that job I told you about."

[Claymore Wren]

"So, you would be coming with us then? More adventures with Soleene... That wouldn't be terrible..." He couldn't keep a straight face, and starting laughing. After sobering up, "Yes, we could make a Co-op Charter for the ship or something like that. You've probably want me as the mechanic and maybe co-pilot. It's something to think about, that's for sure."

[Soleene Stryss]

"If you have a ship, I'll be willing to travel," she said with a confident incline of her head. "Something to look forward to in the future when this is all done. Once we have a home and maybe something of a ship fleet to go with it. That'll probably be enough to work on my apparently dour or grumpy personality if I'm going to travel more abroad. But, no promises on that front"

[Claymore Wren]

"Oh, you know like your personality. You just seem down right now, but I can understand why. Maybe a few successful raids against the Imp's will lighten your mood a little. But, I'm happy living in my own little world, with building and repairing things for the Enclave most days. The simple things, ya know..." Clay said an upbeat tone. "Ok, simple for me, but I an a technological prodigy..." With a smug grin.

[Soleene Stryss]

Soleene snickered at that thought. "Hah, I know a few operations would be more than enough distractions to keep my mind elsewhere. You know, so long as I'm not laying face down for the majority of it. I'm always at my best when I'm doing something and preferably something I'm decent in. That said, I don't know if I could ever get to your level of humble bragging but maybe that's something that'll come in time."
