Where'd that damn woman run off to anyways? Varina eyed the exit then shook her head. Anything that she could find, well, it'd been an hour. She pushed her way outside, hands ready to do what she did best.

[Meiyokashi]

There was a pretty natural path away from here that Varina would follow. It only ever branches out toward other ships, or other buildings all of which don't make all that much sense for Rezzie to have gone for. Eventually that main path would lead into a bit of an opening with multiple branching paths at a larger intersection. It's here that things start to appear to her eye that suggests further investigation.

Varina blew the hair out of her face. Why does she never just ping her location? Her fingers twitched until she took a deep breath. If anyone was waiting for her here of all places, then they would have wasted an hour there instead of ambushing her inside the bar.

It was late. Varina had some alcohol in her system by now, probably. There wasn't a lot that she was picking up here that seemed useful in anyway. Ground was well tread upon. Boxes were scattered around, there was a general mess but when was a pirate port ever clean? Rezzie wasn't answering, but far as she could figure the trail for now bad gone cold.

Maybe she could allow herself the time to relax about such facts now. How she contended with them later in the night and even into the next day when Rezzie didn't resurface... Well, that was the more important question.

Oh there was that feast. Food! Varina patted her stomach and made her way back home. If anything, she could just give Rezzie the quick version later.

What else would she do right now? Stab people until they told her? There were way too many potential suspects when she had no leads.

Meanwhile...

"Kriffin'--" he screams out, pain infusing with his heavy accent. Holding tight to his ear the Chiss looks to the others in the room in disbelief. Red eyes wide with the terror they'd faced.

"That little schlutta bit m-"

"Can it. Not in front of a lady," another more seasoned Chiss chastises. Locking the situation down. Tapping his finger on the top of their central table. "And a lady always pays her debts, right? Your employer said he was good for quite a lot. My boys here doubted it was true but.. well, here we are."



"I assure you, Captain," she brushes an empty peel of some kind of fruit off the table and onto the ground from in front of her. "Once we are returned to Ascendancy space her father has instructed me to pad your accounts well. You will earn yourself quite the reputation with the gear we will surely finance."

"Then it sounds like we still have a deal," he smiles. "Alright men. We keep this girlie locked down until the Empire clears us through. With her father's connect word should come through of us being clear to leave any day now. Just gotta sit it out."

"Then?"

"Then we hit Nar Shaddaa and drink like kings for a while, eh?"

They raise their mugs in cheer.
