Rise and Shine [Day 1, MM, Open]

[Hokuu Bukk]

Hokuu had just finished a warm-up routine and now began to practice his punches on the punching bag.
The muffled sound of his muscular arms hitting the punching bag, coupled with the simultaneous grunting, reached the ears of those in or near the gym.

Pause, then again

He imagined that he had an imperial stormtrooper in front of him, hatred burned in his eyes and with every punch combination more and more sweat formed on his forehead.

Hokuu continued to punch for the next few minutes and after a while began to breathe heavily. After one last punch combo, he sat down with a deep sigh and reached for his water bottle, but his hand went empty. Had he forgotten it again?

As a fellow workout-enthusiast, Raven was also hitting the gym early before getting started with her day. After having finished helping out with making food for the morning meals, she had time to work out before meeting up with Praxton at the colony.

The young woman hooked her helmet to her belt as she stepped inside the gym, and gave a nod to Hokuu. "Heya, good morning."

[Hokuu Bukk]

"Hey there" Hokuu replied with a wave from his sitting position, "You don't happen to have a spare water bottle, do you?" he asked, wiping the sweat from his brow. "Forgot mine," he explained, "Pa always said my skull was only good for bashing down walls," he said with a chuckle.

With a nod, Raven walked over and passed her bottle over to Hokuu. It wasn't her spare, but she could always just get water after.

"Really?" she chuckled with a grin, "much easier with a weapon, than with a skull, no?"

[Hokuu Bukk]

He gratefully accepted the water bottle and took a sip from it, standing up and rolling his shoulders. "Ha," he chuckled, "you don't need a weapon if you have these," he tapped his fist against his horns, "or these," and he flexed his biceps.

"Anyway, are you here to train or is there something to do?" he asked.

"Ah, well," she patted her own smooth forehead, lacking in any horns, "guess I'll have to make do with what's in my arms then, as I ain't got much up here."

She probably meant horns. Probably.

"I was just looking to get some lifting in, before going out later. Mandalore's gonna be keeping us all pretty busy in the coming days, and the Imps too I bet. Gotta stay sharp."

"Nothing like testing your limits before a battle, huh?" he said, grinning broadly. "I can't wait to bash some White Helmets in the head! If you like, I'd be happy to help you train!" He offered, taking another sip from the water bottle.

Raven returned the grin. "Sure! I'm always up for a spar, need to sharpen my unarmed fighting after all..." Like a true Mandalorian, she was pretty proficient with just about any type of fighting, but unarmed martial arts was something she was always looking to improve.

"Ay" he said and began walking over to the sparring ring, "Any limits or handyicaps?" he asked, gesturing towards his armor, altough it would be more realtisitc fighting in and against it, it also offers the potential of a higher injury risk.

Raven herself was in her armor, as she usually was. "Armor sounds good, eh? Less chance of injuries then. Either of the docs will have our hides if we end up needing patching up today, I think."
